Friday
Rocks!
Live bands and rock disco until midnight, every
Friday.
Friday
30th July
The
Alcatraz House Band
Jen
and the boys have picked the original Alcatraz House Band name again
and are with us playing their high energy rock once more. Playing
as Remedy they rocked the joint in March and back again to raise
the rafters at The Rock of the North. Regular performers here since
the club started we've seen some epic shows over the years and look
forward to another blinder tonight. For those that haven't seen
them before, and have doubts whether a woman can front a rock band
- come along and be amazed.
£2.50
entry.
Friday
6th August
Rock
Solid
Almost
the Buffalos House Band, these guys ALWAYS pack the place out and
we look forward to their gigs enormously. Along with a handful of
other bands on the circuit, Rock Solid are obviously mates both
on and off the stage and it shows in their performances which are
never less than 100%. Playing Saxon, UFO, Deep Purple, Y&T and
Free they have never yet failed to rock the roof off the joint and
the banter with the crowd always adds an extra element of entertainment
to the night. If Rock's your tipple, there's only one place to be
on Friday 6th - Houghton Buffalos where smoke, lights & rock'n'roll
are on the menu.
£2.50
entry.
Friday
13th August
The
Fishburn Mafia
Another
new act at The Buffalos Club, these guys come recommended by both
punters and a couple of other bands who have seen them performing
in the area. Here at The Buffs we are always keen to find new acts
to keep the Rock nights fresh and we look forward to seeing these
guys enormously. Described as: The Fishburn Mafia are a rock
power trio from the North East of England
Blending
influences of Classic Rock, Blues, Prog Rock, Jazz, Southern Rock,
Funk, Metal and Punk, The Fishburn Mafia create a sound reminiscent
of many Classic Bands but with their own unique, raw sound.
See them on YouTube here
£2.50 entry.
Friday
20th August
Captain
Rock
Another
Buffalos favourite, The Captain and his crew always have the place
bouncing whilst playing through one of the best PA systems on the
circuit with a light show that wouldn't look out of place in Earl's
court; we're hoping our extended stage will allow them to use the
entire rig this time and that our power circuits will take the load!
Playing classic rock with high levels of energy and outstanding
musicianship, the band are massively entertaining to watch and their
on-stage empathy gives a memorable show every time. See them in
action here.
Coming soon to Friday Rocks!
Judas Beast, Maiden England, Avatar,
Borderland, Diablo, Russ Tippins Electric Band & more top turns
baby.
